Taking over Rockefeller Center for Marriott’s Global Travel Day

With the merger of Starwood and Marriott, it was important to let the world know about the massive loyalty program and portfolio of brands now at members’ fingertips. Marriott partnered with FRUKT to build an experiential activation for launch day in order to garner press and create buzz.

As the Director of Creative Planning at FRUKT, Amy led the team responsible for concepting and executing the Global Travel Day activation. The team created a larger-than-life map in Rockefeller Center, NYC, a location that has been dubbed as the media hub of the world. Social influencers Chrissy Tegan and Casey Neistat stopped by the map to amplify social media presence and encourage followers to check out the map. On the day of the event, over 60 9.5’ft pins were placed outside of Marriott properties across NYC to raise awareness of the larger than life map & sweepstakes.

The activation led to over 70 sweepstakes winners, 374K combined impressions between Roc Center and properties around NYC, 1.5K on-site registrations, and over 208M potential impressions.
