Reintroducing Live Sports after the Covid lock-down
Hulu’s marquee product, Hulu + Live TV, took a hit during Covid when live sports went away during lock-down. As the world began to open up again in April 2021, we needed to let sports fans everywhere know that they could watch their favorite athletes on Hulu again. But with Covid restrictions, production was still a challenge.
Enter the Deep Fake. As the Brand Director, Amy led the GTM campaign for the “Hulu Has Live Sports…Again” campaign in close partnership with AOR, Big Family Table (Deutsch). Harnessing camera phones and deep fake technology, we safely shot our star athletes without ever bringing them on a set.
Not only did the campaign create a ton of industry buzz, but it increased subscribers and set the Live TV product back on a growth trajectory.
